Does it get your attention when you see articles or stories or posts with words like, the biggest or the best or the newest, etc.? I totally get sucked in, but the one word that gets me the most is “oldest”. It’s just intriguing to me.  This visit was about a place being the oldest, and as luck would have it, they have a darn good, not so old, smashburger.

One of my favorite towns in the Tampa Bay area is Dunedin.  It’s a charming coastal town with a small town feel.  The downtown area has a lot of restaurants, shops, markets and what puts the biggest smile on my face, a ton of breweries!

Dunedin Brewery is the oldest craft brewery in Florida, but you’ll get past the old part quickly.  It’s a happening place with different areas to sit inside and outside, and enjoy all of the craft beers and the menu that gets fresh updates frequently.

The Redhead Red quenched my thirst.  The chicken wings and the hand-cut fries are fantastic.  That will get you to the DunBrew Cheeseburger.  The black angus patties are 4 oz., you’ll want the double.  A great char, seasoned and juicy enough.  American cheese and a very good pub sauce.  I added grilled onions of course, and ordered no lettuce or raw onion.  The brioche bun was toasted and pretty solid.

This is a very cool place to hang for a while and enjoy some good food and good beer.
