Let’s talk breweries and burgers.  Most breweries will bring in Food Trucks on a rotational basis or on a longer term residency.  Late Start Brewery has the beer, but out of their kitchen comes some Mighty Fine tasting Smashburgers.

Late Start Brewing has a cool, comfortable look and vibe.  Brewery kitchens are not common, but @mightyfinetpa shares the space seamlessly.

Tampa’s native Chef, Nate Hardin, calls his menu, comfy classics.  The poster child of that tag line is the Classic BOI Smashburger.  Since I’ve been in Tampa, I’ve seen many different sized patties called Smashburgers, even 5 and 6oz. patties.  I’ve embraced them since they are balled and smashed, but if you’ve forgotten what the classic smash is, Mighty Fine will remind you.

The Classic BOI has two 3oz. Angus beef patties.  The patties are smashed thin, just outside the bun, have a great crust, are seasoned well and are as juicy as can be expected.  A classic cheeseburger needs American cheese.  You’ll get plenty of cheese on each patty.  Their grilled onions are diced and top the cheese.  The very thin sliced pickles lining the bottom bun are house made and tasty.  Sauce?  Yes!  It’s Special Sauce and you’ll get it on the top and bottom buns.  It’s delicious.  The bun?  What’s more classic than a soft, lightly toasted, steamy Martin’s Potato Roll?  It feels good in your hand.  It’s a fantastic classic smashburger!

If you want something different from the Classic BOI, the Deluxe BOI will certainly give you a very different look and feel, but will hit all the right notes.  The same beef patties, American cheese, house made pickles and tasty special sauce, but it’s got a sliced tomato, what they call shrettuce, you can figure that out, shaved onions instead of grilled diced onions, all on a wonderful sesame seed bun.  You can’t make a mistake with either burger.

The Quarter Cheese Patty Melt and the Fried Bologna sandwich are two must tries.
