Plant City is a special place for my wife and I.  The Strawberry Festival was the first place we visited after we bought our house in Wesley Chapel.  It has a cool historic downtown.  It has unique shops, parks, restaurants and cafes, as well as everything strawberries.  While this restaurant might have some new strawberry specials on the menu during the festival, they have a fantastic burger on the menu year round that you are going to want to sink your teeth into.

After you walk in, you won’t be thinking burger.  You’ll be thinking bar.  It might be the most beautiful bar I’ve seen.  They have such an impressive, beautifully lit up bottle display covering the wall, and the craftsmanship and feel of the wood is unmatched.  Yes, the drinks are fantastic and you have endless bourbon and whiskey choices.  My favorite drink is the Berry Mule.  My wife loves their Loaded Bloody Mary.

The food?  Elite!  We actually have had a few items besides the Propagation Burger, like the Fried Chicken Sandwich, Wings, Julius Caesar salad and the Pork Belly Hash.  All are wonderful.  For dessert, the Banana Bread Pudding, the S’more Brownie & the Beignets are all delicious.

Getting to the Propagation Burger, it’s a very well crafted, thick pattied creation.  It’s a 6ish oz. Black Angus patty.  It’s very juicy, well seasoned and temped to a nice medium.  Double slices of American cheese and delicious tallow caramelized onions top the patty and tasty house made pickles and shredded lettuce line the bottom bun.  Their special sauce is delicious as well.  The toasted brioche bun is very good.  I’ve had the Propagation Burger three times and it’s been rock solid every time.  You’ll love it!

To recap, my perfect visit would be, walk in, sit at the bar, start with the Berry Mule, Wings or a Julius Caesar salad, then tackle the Propagation Purger and finish with Banana Bread Pudding.  Now that’s a good night!
