What’s the one thing that has surprised me about living in Florida? Believe it or not, it’s the Food Trucks. They are on every street corner and there are Food Truck Parks everywhere. I recently found a Food Truck that just might redefine what you think a Slider is.
When I think sliders, besides the obvious response being White Castle, typical sliders are dry, unseasoned and gone in a bite or two. Owner Matt has changed all that. He’s upped the size, the flavors and the juiciness. He currently has 10 sliders on the menu. I’ve had a few of them, but the Garlic Smash has won my heart. I love everything about it.
The beef is Angus. The size of the patties are 2.5 oz. Matt doesn’t smash them super thin. He wants them thicker so they’ll still have some juicy beef as well as that great crust from the initial smash on the grill. That fits right into the slider size. Juicy the patties are. Seasoned well they are. I started with the single, but added a patty the last two visits. The soft, but firm and toasted, brioche bun can handle the doubles. Trust me.
I’ll describe the Garlic Smash in one word. Addicting! The super garlic flavored sauce is thick and creamy and will satisfy every garlic lover, like Matt’s girlfriend and co-owner, Tiffani. Matt chose to pair it with creamy white American cheese. Nice choice. The sweet onions might be my favorite onions ever. They are large, super thick, perfectly cooked and as plentiful as the garlic sauce. I added sliced pickles to the last two sliders I ordered.
Garlic lovers, this is your burger! It’s flawless.
Matt will modify each slider order to your liking. They are cooked to order. Quality means everything.
The onions rings are a must have. Thick cut onions with a super crunchy batter. Amazing! They come with a side of very tasty ranch sauce. I also get a side of their delicious smash sauce for my onion rings or fries or for some of the other sliders. I really like the Sweet Onion Smash and the Fast Foodie too. There are also chicken sliders on the menu.
