This burger is unlike any burger I’ve ever had.  It’s a burger experience I’ve never experienced.  I may need you to weigh in on this one.

I have to admit, I was a little confused at how to tackle this latest smashburger.  A few posts ago, I talked about a beef patty smashed super thin with crispy edges around the perimeter.  Tower 10 Burger picks up where this one left off and smashes it even thinner all the way through.

We all love the crust that forms when a beef patty is smashed onto a hot grill.  What if we could get the whole patty to be all crust?  The Tower 10 Double is as close as you’ll ever come to that.  It is smashed so thin, there is more beef crust than beef.  The crust is very crispy and brittle.  When I picked it up, a lot of it broke off.  I did like the crispy parts of it, but I really wanted a little more of the thicker beef part.  It might just be an experience I need to get more familiar with.

You can choose from a few different cheeses.  I chose American.  I actually had two Tower 10 Doubles, one with lettuce, tomato and onion and one with just onions.  Both were equally good.  I loved the thicker cut, whole sliced grilled onions.  Their Tower 10 sauce is money.  The toasted potato bun rocks.  The patties are around 3 oz.

I’m looking for you to tell me your thoughts on this uniquely smashed burger.  I liked it, but I need some more actual beef.  If this type of burger is your jam, then this is your jam!
